Woodcliff Lake Hilton vs. Park Ridge Marriott??????????????

I'm trying to decide where my guests should stay and where we should have the post-wedding brunch.  The Park Ridge Marriott is absolutely beautiful, secluded and I've been there a bunch for receptions when I was little.  However, they tend to offer less than the Woodcliff Lake Hilton (the bar doesn't stay open as late, they offer less food for more money for the brunch, and offer only one complimentary room as opposed to 3!!)  We didnt like the appearance and layout of the Hilton when we saw it, but that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't a good hotel.  Anyone have any good or bad opinions on either?  We are having most of our guests stay here so any information would be helpful.
Thanks.

I can just tell you that I tried contacting the Hilton several times and never received a response ... so I ended up signing the contract with the Marriott.  If they don't have time to reply to a simple email then they don't deserve my business.

    Good luck with your search!

Our guests stayed at the Woodcliff Lake Hilton for our wedding weekend. My in-laws also hosted a brunch on Sunday in the Solarium.  The rooms were really nice, our guests enjoyed the pool (we got married in July), and the brunch was great!  It was great to have a bar to go to after the reception, although it only stays open until 2 (I live in NYC and am used to things staying open later).  The only problem that occurred is that my maid of honor didn't have a chance to check into the hotel until after the reception and they didn't have a room for her.  They were completely sold out!  Luckily her family lived nearby and the hotel paid for her to take a cab to her family's home.  Other than that mishap, service was awesome and their staff was very easy to work with.

I almost forgot!  They also offered a free shuttle for the hotel guests to and from our reception.  That was an added bonus and we didn't have to  pay for a bus.

The Marriott is nicer but a little harder to find for guests who are not familiar with the area IMO.  I'm partial to Hiltons, but the one in WCL seems a little run down.  That said, and I don't remember where I heard it, but I remember hearing that the Marriott was facing financial problems and may even file for bankruptcy.

We booked the Hilton for our guests, although I am only getting one comp room, not 3 (totally not cool!), and only if a certain number of guests book. One reason we picked there was the shuttle to and from the reception, and also their bar does stay open later (it seems to be the hotel in the area that has the latest hours for their bar)...also, one of my close friends works for the park ridge marriott, and i didn't want her to be uncomfortable as a guest at the hotel if she happens to run into her co-workers. However, she speaks really highly of the hotel and I'm sure you can't go wrong if you have your guests stay there.
