Ideas to get the board busier

I feel like we need to have days were we have certain posts that everyone can contribute to, in order to get conversations started.

Some things we could do are have a recipe post once a week to help give us all some new ideas for dinner, updates on how wedding planning is going and the married ladies could give us a tip for handling things. We could also do a NC Knottie of the week were you get to know a little more about that knottie. We could also just do the typical get to know you post about you, your FI and your wedding and make it a sticky at the top.

What do you girls think? We need to liven up this board!!

It's certainly cold enough for crockpot suppers!

I like the ebb and flow.  I'm not sure that certain posts on certain days is necessary.

And we'd need an active mod to make something sticky.

I don't know if anyone is on here enough to handle a daily routine thing, but if the anyone has a creative idea like Recipe sharing on any particular day, I think you should start a post for sure!

When I started here. . our board was crazy busy and there was a very tight sense of community, but at that time, we also had a LOT more consistent posters.

Planning Bios are places where updates can be found, but randomly you do have someone post about their progress and that's great. We all love to here what's going on.

Im not really agreeing with the 'knottie of the week' but I'll keep that to myself. I do agree that it would be fun to get to know you all a little better.  So introduce away!

Many boards do "Ask a knottie anything" and they just ask away on that thread, but its not necessarily calling someone out, because that someone might not always be around.

Us 'Married's' regularly give advice whenever its asked for or we feel its needed.

Just start posting  and get to know each other and the board will once again come to life :o)

Not every post has to be WR either. If something is going on in your life and you want to vent. . do it.  If something awesome happened, let us know.

having mandatory posts weekly though, not such a good way to go since you can't predict who will or will not be on the board.


With all of this said though. . good thinking! Take my comments with a grain a salt because they're simply my opinion :o)

Sounds good Beka. I'll be honest I have been MIA on the board because everytime I stopped by it was...a little boring??  Recipe posts, life, shopping, whichever post away!! I miss the NC board.

wish it was busier!!  I am home during the week with the babe, so while he's napping I'm constantly looking at all the boards but there's never anything to post about.
