John Agnello Photography

I was wondering if anyone who used John Agnello photography could give me a ballpark idea of what his package rates start from? Ive been trying to get in contact with them thru phone/email, but I seem to only get them when they are closed. You can PM me if you would rather not post. Thanks so much!

Hi - We didn't end up going with them but I saved their pricing sheet. It looks like their packages start at $4395 and go up from there. That package includes:

Enagement session w/ 11x14 sign in board
    100 thank you cards
Two photographers w/ ten hours of coverage
    Over 1,000 4x6 proofs
unlimited black & white, hand coloring & sepia ton effects
    portraits 1 - 11x14; 2 - 8x10; 2 parent albums w/ 14 5x7 prints
Albm: 40 images in 8x10 leather album

Or same as above but with 60 images in a 10x10 digital album goes up to $4895
All other packages go up from there

Personally we didn't jive with them. We only met with  recepionist there and not the actual photographer, so we didn't feel comfortable. They didn't work for us but their pictures looked nice. Can't give any other personal advice or recommendations since we didn't use them, but I have their flyer if you need any more info.

Not only did they go up, I'm not sure I value what they put in the package.  Photography costs are all about the actual photography, of course, but from a product perspective, I just don't see good value for that kind of price.  Does anyone really want 1,000 proof (which probably means unprocessed) prints?  What would I do with them?  100 Thank You cards are nice, but I think we all know how cheaply they can be produced.  Everyone does black and white and sepia tones.  A couple of rather small enlargements and even a 40 page 8x10 album is a little small compared to what other photogaphers are showing (like 12x12 and 15x10).

If you love their photography or something about the experience they promise, then they're worth whatever you'll pay, but to the extent that there are other photographers with comparable style, that price for that package seems VERY high.  IMHO, of course.

Hi - It was probably almost a year ago that I met with photographers. I think we booked ours around last July or so.
