Modern reception venue

Hello,
I'm looking to get married sometime in 2011 in or around Bergen County. I'm interested in venues like the Stone House at Stirling Ridge and the Liberty House-- something modern and chic, with less of a banquet hall feel. Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

Please pm me if you are interested in 7/3/11, Seasons; their renovations have made it more modern. or you can email me at michelle221@optonline.net

Seasons is really nice and the food is great. We have out holiday party there every year at work. Also I know it's a little bit further from Bergen Co (which is where I live), but we're having our wedding at The Imperia in Somerset. It's very modern and chic, not typical banquet hall at all.

I would consider both Seasons and the Imperia typical banquet halls quite honestly.  i have been to both in the last year, and while I enjoyed the events at both, and would recommend them both, I wouldn't call either modern and chic.

What is your budget that you are looking at?  That might help to narrow it down.

just to add, I went to a wedding recently at Liberty house and wasn't impressed.

I was looking for the same and my top two choices were Stone House and Liberty House.  However, heard awful reviews regarding the service and food.  Then when we went to each they would not negotiate at all. They give hardly any food for their price and my family would have left hungry. They are soooo awesome in terms of looks, but they did not offer enough. Seasons was stunning-I'd look there. If you decide to look in central Addison Park and South Gate Manor are very very modern. Good Luck

The Liberty House is overpriced and the food is just ok.  You're definitely paying for the view.

Maritime Parc is Jersey City (across from Liberty House) is VERY modern. It's a new venue worth checking out.

Avenue/Le Club in Long Branch is really modern - are you willing to travel down to the shore?
