Have you heard of these places - what did you think?

Has anyone heard of these locations for weddings?

Bad , good .. any feedback would be great!
I am looking to have 80-100 guests and would like to spend 100-110pp (before tax and fees) 1. Solar do Minho - Roselle Park, NJ http://www.solardominho.com/
2. Grand Colonial - Perryville, NJ http://www.grandcolonialnj.com/index.html 3. Perona Farms - Andover, NJ http://www.peronafarms.com/wedding/index.html

My cousin got married at Perona Farms about 5 years ago and it was lovely! They had beautiful gardens and the food was great. But that was a while ago!! good luck

    We visited Perona Farms.

I've heard generlaly good things about it, but we just didn't like it aethetically. I was picturing waaay more of a "farm" setting. Instead, there's a road that literally runs through the middle of the property,

I don't know much about the others.

The only one I've heard of is Perona Farms.  I've heard good things but not great things.

Solar Do Minho  - Is fairly new and heard it is gorgeous and food is excellent.  I priced them out for April and they are within your budget.

If you can, check out the Colonial Inn...they have a second location, the Valley Brook Golf Club. It's a really nice size place, lots of nice places to take pictures, and it's in your range for people and you will definitely be good for price.

I'm getting married at Perona Farms, I wanted more of a countryside outside ceremony and decided to get married in their orchard, I love their cocktail hour outdoor setting and the reception room is really nice as well....and I am in love with their lounge room/bathroom for the ladies, it's beautiful and will make for nice pictures. I have not tasted their food except for brunch and that was always delicious.

I'm getting married at Perona Farms. We love the grounds there for outdoor pictures, you get a lot of food for the money, and from what I hear the food is great. We're working with Jonathan and he has been great so far.

    Good memory!

I loooved my shower at Solar do Minho. However...it was the way it was because of my mom and my wedding planner. They rented everything and brought all the decor in. My mom had some issues with the staff, but I dont know the specifics. If you want to see pics, check Josh Lynn's facebook page. I included the link 2 weeks ago in a previous post.

I have a cousin who was going to have her wedding there also, but is now booking elsewhere. She already gave her deposit, but is trying to get it back. Apparently, they make you pay for <strong>everything. </strong>I dont remember specifics, but nothing is included. When she was telling me about it, I was shocked.

Solar do Minho is beautiful, but was way over the 100pp. It was around 130 without tax. Ill have to go back to my files to find out the prices. It is sit down dinner and bathrooms downstairs unless you use the resturant bathrooms. Also to go from the cocktail room to the ballroom you had to walk downstairs and miles away, instead of going like 50 steps on the main floor.

My friends daughter got married at the Grand Colonial and loved it.  We looked at their menu but everything was additional it wasnt worth it for us.

We just looked at Perona Farms last weekend. The pricing was about $120 p/p for a June 2011 wedding, not including tax and tip.  From the website, I thought it would be more of a farm, but like other people stated, you have to cross a road to get to the lake, and a different road to get to the barn, so it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

Grand Colonial is very close to where I live, a lot of people I went to High school with got/get married there, it's very pretty, but too close to home for me, like literally 2 miles, and we want a hotel attached and the closet hotel is like 10 mins away in Clinton, NJ.  Grounds are pretty, right on a service road though, but convenient also to Interstate 78.

    Hope the info helps!

ooh, let us know if you look into the Loft in Montclair!

This was a place I was interested in, but when I was looking (early last year)  there was SO little info out there. It sounds really cool though.
