Barn/rustic venues in NJ?

FI and I are looking for a "rustic "venue.
Rutgers gardens has a log cabin but it only fits a certain amount of people.

Trying to keep it on the cheap side as well.

Anyone know of anywhere?

Farmstead Golf & Country Club in Andover.  There is a big old wagon / cart in the main ballroom.  There are beamed ceilings.

I also just saw the thread from a few days ago.  I'm looking in to some of those as well.

    Thanks!

My recommendation as well!  Also a lovely outdoor setting for the ceremony.

Farmstead looks stunning, however their packages seem too expensive for our budget.
Seems to be the norm with the rustic venues in NJ.  :(

We are trying to stay around 7 or 8k for the reception. (cheaper if possible)

The Barnyard and Carriage House in totowa was great! The Barnyard is the restarunt and the Carriage house is where they have weddings and such. The prices start at $25 a head, much cheaper then anywhere else I found. I almost got married there, but the Army likes to change things and the date we needed was unavailable. The food is great and the people are too.

There is also an old restored carriage house in Andover I didnt know about until after I already booked everything for my wedding at a friends farm. I have a friend who was planning to get married there (broke engagement). She said it was like $500 to rent the facility, and then you rented everything else you needed. I am doing a tent wedding, renting everything and having it catered by the villa capri in sparta (dont like the guy in newton). My whole wedding, from flowers, cake, catering, rentals, and everything else is under $6000.

I'm getting married at the Lake Valhalla Club in Montville, NJ. It's on a lake (if you didn't guess!) and the inside has high vaulted ceilings, dark wood, and stone fireplaces.

Thanks for your suggestion on this venue!  I've been looking for something very similar to this, something not in a typical hall, and this looks wonderful.  How are the prices?  Any problems you've encountered?  Would love your suggestions and advice.
