dress shopping question

I'm going to start my dress shopping... I'm thinking about going to The bridal Suite in Hamilton, Cinderella Bridals in Matawan, and Hollywood Bridals in Kennilworth.  Any feedback on these places?  Is it better to go during the week or weekend?  Should I bring anything with me other than some pictures of dress styles I have liked?

TIA

I haven't been to any of those places, but I think that if you can go during the week, it would definitely be better than the weekend.  stores get more crowded on the weekend and that means less attention to you.  good luck!

Hollywood is fine, better prices at Russells in Linden.  I took a personal day to dress shop, but I also headed in NYC.

My cousin stopped by The Bridal Suite in Hamilton to look at their bridesmaids dresses and wasn't impressed with the selection. I can't speak for their wedding dresses. We decided to go to Fantasy Weddings by Anna Marie in Robbinsville. It was only about 10 minutes from The Bridal Suite. They had a lot of wedding dresses there. I would recommend to go during the week. Usually the weekends are very crowded. I would also recommend bringing a pair heels with you to get an idea about height.

    I've been to all three!

I cannot say enough good things about Hollywood Bridal. I didnt order my gown there because they didn't carry the designer but we purchased the bridesmaid dresses from them as well as the tuxedos. The prices for both bridal and BM include alterations and I've also used their seamstress for outside alterations. They've been so easy to work with and the girls there (especially Maria and Angela) are really on top of everything. The store is clean, the selection is great, and the service is fantastic.

My mother purchased her gown from The Bridal Suite. They had a ton for her to try on and the saleswoman Kate was really helpful and patient. The gown was supposed to come in Mid-May and hasn't come in yet, but the wedding isn't until October so we aren't panicing yet. The women when we call could be nicer, and when I went to look at veils in the bridal builidng they weren't all that helpful but they may be because i didn't purchase my gown there. I say check it out and see- you never know!

Cinderella Bridal was the first place I tried on gowns and the saleswoman was very helpful. My #2 choice was here, and she really knew what would look good on me. The one thing was they weren't very willing to tell you the designer of the gowns, and sometimes would say they didn't know instead of telling you. We went on another occassion looking for MOB and MOG and didn't have as good of an experience, but the bridal consultants seemed good.

Russel's- a lot of girls recommend on here but I had a terrible experience there with a salesgirl that had no interest in working because it was the end of her shift and didn't feel well. Then why did they assign her to my appointment? It was a turn-off but I may have just hit it on a bad day.

As far as when to go- I definitely think it's easier and you get more dedicated time when you go during the week, but do what you can. If you're able to take a day off of work or you're free on the weekday's I say do it. Definitely bring pictures but keep an open mind to what the saleswomen suggest. I never once saw or printed out a picture of my gown until I randomly saw it hanging on the end of the rack and just knew I had to try it on.

Good luck and let us know what you find!!!

I bought my dress at Hollywood Bridal and had a great experience.  I went on a Friday afternoon in March.

The Bridal Suite is really a cute place.  The two owners are really nice and they do have a lot to choose from. We went after work one night and she stayed open late with us to try on. Good Luck

I have an appointment at Cinderella Bridals this week. They recommend you bring heels similar to the height you want to wear for the wedding and a strapless bra.

I'm also bringing a camera. I've heard some shops don't like this (and seeing in pp that they don't like to tell the designers' names -- I'm sure they won't) but I cannot remember all of the details of the different dresses. I kept getting them confused after my last trip to look at dresses and was really glad I took photos of them all.

Cinderella definitely doesn't let you take photos but Hollywood Bridal does, not sure about Hamilton for bridal but for BM they did
