New Jersey

Uplighting/DJ

I'm interested in having uplighting at my wedding and came across two companies in New Jersey who look really professional and also provide DJ services (which would be ideal for us to combine both). The companies were Visions Lighting & Sound and Sound Connection DJ Entertainment.

Any feedback/comments on either of these companies would be really helpful. Other company suggestions are also welcome!

Thanks in advance for your input! Smile

Try Mike Chieffo at DJMC. He is an amazing DJ and he can provide a lighting package for you as well.

We are using Elite Entertainment. They have a lot of DJ's and great lighting packages. We added uplighting to  our DJ package.

    Good luck! Happy planning!

I am using Premier Entertainment and they are doing the uplighting and GOBO for us.

We're going with Sound Connection, we felt like Jason really just got the scene we wanted at the wedding (no give aways, no group dances, minimal talking and maximal partying). Jason Jani (the owner) is not cheap, but they do have a few different price levels using another one of their DJs.

i used elite entertainment (kris a was my emcee)...but i did not go with their lighting package, it was not enough lights for my room for their price so i used JB lighting. it was a few hundred more than the dj company but WAY worth it! beyond happy with both

Our wedding planner highly suggested Paul Anthony Entertainment as our DJ (who we booked).  He also does a ton of uplighting and can do a lot of different things.  Our venue also does uplighting and he was able to beat their cost by several hundred dollars.  Good luck!

for those just doing uplighting do you mind saying what your approximate cost  isI really want to do but it may be a little outside my budget.  Thanks.

Im using JB lighting as well and will have abou 18 lights to fill the room at $900. I way add a gobo, which I think is $250.

We met with Premier Entertainment the other night. Very friendly and their work looked very professional. They gave us some pricing which seemed reasonable, but I want to look into some others as well just to have something to compare to. This is what they quoted us:

For a 1 DJ package, uplighting for the room (not charged per light or for size of room), intelligent lighting and a GOBO = $2300

They threw in the GOBO for "free" usually $250. I have a feeling they do that for most, but still nice. I'll let you know if I find something better!

Carissa: check out Gemini- you can get that same package with a DJ & MC and it will run you in that ballpark. :o) If for no other reason then to price compare!

I know this post is so old but i had to make a correction! I visited with Primetime Entertainment NOT Premier. The prices I included above were from Primetime so I apologize if I confused anyone.
