Steve at Photovisions vs. Kirk McGee

Hi all. We have about a $1000 total photography/videographer budget. Steve at photovisions is offering us a military discount that would be 8 hours of coverage and all the photos on a disk for our budget. I see he has really good reviews and he is offering us a great deal. Kirk McGee on the other hand can do 4 hours of coverage with 4 hours of unedited video for 950 with each additional hour $50. The reason I can't decide is because they both have good reviews, but Steve has rave reviews and I'm not sure how much we really need a video. And Kirk McGee uses a few different photographers/videographers so not really sure who we'll get. Basically, I'm leaning towards Steve but I'm looking for feedback/input/reviews. Thanks!

</div><div>Steve was our photographer and he was great. I can't say enough good things about him. We loved every single one of our photos from our wedding day. My sig picture was taken by him, along with all the photos in the link in my sig, if you'd like to see more. With Steve you'll get a dvd of images with about 500 pictures. They've all been edited and you are not given ones with your eyes closed or other unflattering pictures. He gives you his best, not 1000 pictures of the day that you have to sort through and weed out the bad ones.

</div><div>ETA: It was important to us that we knew exactly which photographer we'd have the day of our wedding, which is why we didn't choose a photography company that hires multiple photographers. We chose who liked best based on his personal photography style and his personality, as it's important to get along well with them. </div><div>

  • We looked into Steve from Photovisions after reading a ton of great reviews online.  We ended up meeting with him and he was so personable and was willing to customize our package based on our budget. All of the pictures that we have seen online and in his studio have been amazing.  We are really looking forward to having him capture our special day.

Steve is writing out my agreement as I type this!  LOL!  Laura, looks we will be booking similair vendors being we are having our wedding in the same spot!  Hehe...Steve's work looks amazing.  He was able to work with my budget.  I emailed him 100 questions and he was very gracious with each response.  I look forward to working with him.  Are you using Wallflowers by any chance as your florist?   <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />  I might but didn't have a chance to contact anyone there yet.

That is hysterical!  I think my wedding is before yours so I can give you all my reviews.  I heard fabulous things about each vendor so I am SURE we won't be dissappointed!
