Hi! I am new to The Knot and new to posting here. Just wanted to introduce myself and tell you all a little bit about me...
My FI and I met in college and have been together for almost six years. We have talked about our future for a long time, but now we are finally in a place where it's financially a good idea to move forward.
I am a very private person so he knew a public proposal wouldn't work. He asked me to marry him at one of my favorite parks to visit in a simple and fitting way. I had previously hinted at the types of rings I preferred and he did an excellent job picking out exactly what I wanted.
We are just beginning to plan but would like to try for an August 2012 wedding. We have to see if our church has availability, but I am confident I can get everything together by then.
I have heard excellent things about this site and look forward to all the help I will receive and any advice I can offer to others!
