Wedding Music & NWR

Ok, my grandma is Russian.  She has a long story (which I'll share eventually) but my dad goes to visit her several times a week.  She has her own house, but no car and no phone.  When he visited, apparently she had fallen and looks like she had a small stroke...not sure yet.  She's getting a CT scan now at the hospital.  This is the only problem with me living at the beach and family in Charlotte.  Anyways, hope everything is ok.

Another note while I am waiting by the phone, I need to work on wedding music.  I have an idea on what I'd like to do, but will you share what you used?

garter toss--'im to sexy'

I was thinking about this same thing on the way home from work today!
my friend used for cake cutting--jason marz/coblie calliett  'lucky'

first dance--i have always liked 'I Do' by Clint Black and Lisa Black

walk down the aisle--there is always Here comes the bride or Canon in D

Oh I know what you mean about your grandma...My Grandma is in a nursing home (this is a recent event) and it kills me that I live in eastern NC and she is in Charlotte!  I hope she gets better

First Dance..... We aren't totally decided on this yet, it will be either, We are Man and Wife by Michelle Featherstone, Long Time Coming by Oliver James, or Bring it on home by little big town.
Father/Daughter dance.... Daddy's Little Angel by T Carter Music
Mother/Son dance.... Perfect Fan by BSB (J's not too thrilled about this, his mom picked it)
Bouquet Toss.... Single Ladies by Beyonce.
Garther Toss.... J hasn't picked yet
Cake cutting.... How Sweet it is to be loved by you (I think, not totally decided on this yet either.)

We are also doing a longest married dance (for J's grandparents, they'll be doing it) and it will be to I'll be seeing you by Billie Holliday

And a last dance to Can't help falling in love by Ingrid Michaelson

And my FI is also doing a dance with my daughter at the reception to Tough Little Boys by Gary Allen

Wow, that seems like alot of dances, but yeah, there it is.

I hope your grandmother is okay!!!! I'll be praying for you all!

Haha I love reading these.  Thanks, keep them coming!  I love "Grow Old with You" by Adam Sandler.  I do love all the VSQ songs too.  I am thinking about walking down the aisle to "With or Without You" done by VSQ or Canon D. The problem with Canon D is that it almost makes me cry everytime.  I love the song, always have.  I don't want to break down and ball the whole time I walk down the aisle....lol.



Good news, kinda. My grandma had a little stroke but it hasn't shown on the CT yet.  They are going to run some tests and she is staying in the hospital for another night atleast.  Her left side is weak and she has an irregular heartbeat.  That sounds negative, but I think it could be much worse and I am happy its not.  She's in no pain.
