Question about escort card wording

I'm obviously not at this stage yet, but I was just working on our RSVP cards and I got to thinking about the escort cards.  If you invite a family (mom, dad, and kid(s)) and they all are going to attend, how do you word the escort card?

I did one per couple or per single person (even if it was a kid) OR you can do one per person. Even when I was a little younger and went to weddings with my parents and sister they got one and we each got our own.

I agree with PP. I would address one escort card as Mr. & Mrs. John Doe and then invididual cards for the kids. Miss Jane Doe, Mr. John Doe Jr., etc.

Being that I didn't seat the families together I used individual escort cards.  I had an Aunts and Uncles Table and a Cousins table, (they were sent as The Smith Family)  So even though the cousins didn't get their own invite they did get their own escort card.  I did the same thing for the ones that were seated together.  Like for the RB and his family, he still got his own card, I also thought that the (few) kids would get a kick out of having their name on a card.

I'd do one per kid. They'd probably be excited to have their own.

My youngest invited guest was 16, and apparently she was super-psyched to have received her own invitation, as opposed to being on her parents' invite.

If they were old enough to be excited that they would get their own, they got their own.

Those who couldn't read were part of "and family"
