DJ help

Hi guys, I'm a little stuck w/ looking for a DJ, hopefully you all can help.
We want a DJ just for the music (no lights, fog, props, forcing people to dance) and want to mix in some latin music. I also want to ensure that the DJ WILL NOT play anything that involves synchronized dancing or freestyle (I am 100% positive FI's cousins will request freestyle until they are blue in the face and I need someone who will resist, lol).
We are getting married at the Rutgers Gardens in New Brunswick so the DJ will obviously need to bring his own speakers/equipment.
Does anyone have any recommendations? TIA!

Try Golden Note Entertainment...that  is who we booked with. They have been in buisness for over 20 years and came highly reccomended by many people. There is a whole group of guy who DJ under his company..some spanish speaking who will def mix in your latin music requests. They are reasonibly priced as well..I believe most of the guys are around $1125

I'm in the middle of searching for a DJ/MC pair as well with similar needs -- I'm Peruvian and my fiance is American so having someone that is familiar with the different genres in Latin music as well as knowledgeable in American music is important to us.  We've narrowed the selection down to two DJ companies who meet that requirement and both have assured us that they will strictly adhere to a 'Do Not Play List.'

Steve Guillen Productions: Owned by a Latin American and have several bilingual DJs on staff.  They know their spanish music: Spanish Rock, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton etc. They are very familiar with the business and etiquette of a wedding and feel comfortable working with the other vendors as well as the maitre d.  They have an extensive liability policy as well as backup DJs and MCs.  They're very professional and the total package that I'm looking at is about $1945 including a DJ/MC pair, and a custom gobo.

Ambient DJs: Not owned by a Latin American although he is familiar with most popular spanish music.  I love Spanish Rock though and wish he was a little more familiar with that.  However, he was really knowledgeable about american music and I loved how much effort he put into not playing "the same old thing".  They also had a contingency plan in case of emergency and several DJ/MCs that he could turn to if he needed to.  They have obviously done a lot of weddings and are very familiar with the etiquette as well.  Their package for the same services as above was about $1700.

I still have yet to decide but maybe you can use some of my research.

    Best of luck.

I haven't used them but I've heard great things about The Wedding Kitchen(yes that's the company's name).
