Gift for your Groom

FI brought up gifts last night and was trying to buy me some crazy expensive piece of jewlery that I would probably too scared to wear. So we talked about it and decided would wouldnt go crazy on a gift.  I have already secretly orderd a grooms cake and am looking for something else not crazy expensive.  Any ideas for me?

Engraved cufflinks?  Money clip?  Nice tie?  Engraved cocktail glasses?  Nice picture frame for a wedding photo (to display in his office)?

I did a surprise groom's cake, b-pics album, and cufflinks.

You could do tickets to a game of his favorite team, or a beer/wine of the month club or something else that really matches his interests.

I like the cufflink idea. So question. He wears yellos gold necklace and his wb will be gold. So do I do gold cufflinks? Or does it not matter?  If I did two tone would that look stupid? I am so not smart when it comes to this stuff.

I would probably stick with yellow gold, two tone might be okay but it depends on the clufflink, so I think just solid yellow would be your best bet.  they also make ones with different things on it.  Like: a watch, or temp gage, or shifter gears.  So if he is into cars, the shifter might be cool.  Just do a quick google search and a bunch of things come up.

I did a religious medal necklace and its the same saint as our church.  His is old and beat up. I inscribed a message in the back.  Would love to get him a Tag watch, but its too much right now.  I also want us to each splurge on something on the honeymoon...duty free!  On my August page someone posted a nice iPod or iPad, thought that was cool too.

I did a Cannoli grooms cake at our rehearsal dinner. Then the day before our wedding I treated him to a couples massage as part of a gift. It was a great way for us to unwind and have a nice last moment together before the big day. He already has cufflinks and some of the other typical grooms gift ideas he is not really into. You could always treat him to an excursion or something nice on your honeymoon.

There is an artist on Etsy.com who does "Imprint Me" Silver cufflinks. They send you a kit, you put your fingerprints into the kit, and send it back, and then the silver cufflinks have your fingerprints on them. It's an amazing idea that I'm definitely doing for my FI when we get married!

well, we did kind of expensive gifts, so I may not be helpful....but I got him a Bose surround sound system.  Not very sentimental, but it was what he wanted. lol
