XP from RDU board: Karaoke Bars in Raleigh-Durham-CH?

This is a cross-post because the RDU board just doesn't get that much traffic.

I'm looking for a good karaoke bar / restaurant in the RDU area.  The places I've found online all seem to be closed... so I figure maybe you girls have some ideas.  If you know of anywhere I can try, can you also tell me if they only have karaoke certain nights of the week, etc?  Any info you can provide would be great.  Thanks so much!!

my fave while i was in school was JAX on Friday nights- off Avent Ferry in Raleigh. I think it's closed now though? Check Hi-5 too, they may do one through the week.

Thanks -- I checked into Hi5.  They have karaoke on Tuesdays at 10pm.  It's short notice for my friend bc we were doing an informal bachelorette party next week, and I was hoping to find one for Thursday night, but... maybe we can make Tuesday work.

    Thanks for the help!!

Cueva De Lobos Mexican Restaurant in Raleigh does Karaoke on Saturday nights from 10pm-until. My aunt is the dj/karaoke person. It is a restaurant so you can order food and drinks. It is in a college area (around NCSU) but still fun.

lol, "informal bach" party because this is a last-minute effort to get her a bachelorette party... long story and don't really want to share, but we are throwing something together last minute with a smaller group, more like a 8 to 10 at most, I think, and I just want her to feel like someone DOES care about her wishes and desires for a bachelorette party.  Her dream was to have karaoke fun, and that's what I'm trying to find.  I have a karaoke machine I could use at my home, but with a small group, I don't see THAT being as much fun as going OUT to a karaoke bar.

Thanks for all the responses, I REALLY appreciate it!!!

    Aw! Thats so sweet :o)

Note : I wasn't making fun of it, just have never heard of a bach party being referred to as informal Lol.

Mine was dinner at Jackasters and many many many drinks with my friends around delishious food :o) We started at 6pm and headed back to MOH's apartment at 11 for some Golden Girl reruns. Best night with my ladies ever!

Good luck with Karaoke! I agree, you'd all probably have more fun out in about :o)
