Does the MOH have to wear the same color as the bridesmaids?

It's your choice. She can wear the same color, a different shade, or a completely different color. Obviously, choosing a different color will make her stand out as the MOH. If you prefer a more sutle variation to distinguish her as your MOH, you can make her bouquet different or she can wear a stylish hair piece.

Of course not. She can wear something totally different, or the same color in a different dress, or the same dress as everyone else. It's really all up to you.
If you wanted them in the same dress and same color but still wanted her "different," than choose different or larger flowers, a unique cuff bracelet or statement necklace, or hairpiece.
