NYC Skyline or beach venues

Hello everybody. I used to post here under a different username, VanessaPodunk. My brother-in-law just got engaged and thought they live in Staten Island, they are intersted in venues either on the beach or overlooking the NYC skyline.

I know they checked out Chart House and Waterside and so far they are leaning towards Waterside. I am not familiar with that place at all.

Does anyone have any feedback on Waterside or suggestions of any other places that are on the Hudson?

Bubby's in DUMBO (Brooklyn) is a great space (and is very reasonable). Great city views (it is right by the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges).

We were married at the Jersey City Hyatt - Great views and everyone loved it
We also looked at the Liberty house in JC

There is a new(er) place in Jersey City called Michael Anthony's that is right on the water with great City views. The Liberty House in Jersey City arguably has the best city views around. THe Hyatt in JC also has great views as mentioned above.
Liberty Science Center in JC.
