DJ in sussex county, nj

Finding a DJ has been a real hoot.

I actually had one man tell me he would be happy to mike "the man who gives the eulogy." I'm really hoping there are  no eulogies at my wedding!

Anyway--

Here's what I'm wondering. We're on a pretty tight budget  (think: practically nonexistent, should have eloped kind of budget).

What the heck is the average cost of a DJ? We've found one we think we like for $1250 (our wedding is just 75 of our nears and dears). Is that a lot? A little?

Do you ladies know of a good DJ who does Sussex Co (north-west NJ) that isn't more than the number above?

I just connected some friends (after ladies here highly recommended him) with Fantasy DJ's Bob Albrecht (and thank you, MB & Chelsea!!)

He works out of Hackettstown but will meet with you "halfway" or whatnot & he'll definitely work in Sussex.

I don't have names to offer as we're probably going with a band, but others have told me that you can get a decent (though maybe not great) DJ for $1k or less.
