NWR - Cake Boss-type cakes

Hi -  Does anyone know of any other bakeries that can make cakes like Carlo's Bakery?  My MIL wants to get a cake from Cake Boss for my FIL surprise 60th bday.  She want to get one that looks like a Grand Marnier bottle (his favorite drink).  But if that doesn't work out, she's looking for other bakeries that will do just as good a job.   TIA!

I quickly looked and found a bottle cake on their site, obviously not the bottle you're looking for but to give you an idea.

I know Palermos groomscakes we looked at started at $500, I'm sure they are able to work with your budget, also keep in mind fondant is more expensive.

It depends on the particular design and the amount of people you want to feed.

Not sure but I know when we called Carlos Bakery (where I wanted to get my cake from) they said wedding cakes start at $14 per slice, so that wasnt really an option for us. My mother is paying for our wedding cake and she isnt gonna pay over $1400 for a cake and then delivery charge on top of that.

In Staten Island, try Sweet Sweet Sues (www.sweetsweetsues.com). My cousin got her groom's cake from there and I thought it was delicious. (It's the Super Mario Brothers cake under the Groom's Cake section.)

I'm toying with the idea of getting one for my fiance, but I'm going to try to look around.
