Morning After Brunch

We are having our wedding in a hotel, which offers a morning after brunch.  How do I let my guests know? Do I put a second rsvp card in the invitation for the brunch? or when they book the room ask the hotel to have them confirm for the brunch, can they take a head count? Is that reliable or even an option?

We spread the info via word of mouth and we put a little note in the OOT boxes inviting them to join us. You can also request that the front desk tell your guests when they check-in, but it doesn't hurt to spread the word prior to the date so people know to stay the next morning.

Are you giving gift bags to your hotel guests? If so, just include a little note in there with details about the brunch...

Hey Nicole! We are doing the morning after brunch. Every so often we check with the hotel to see who has booked a room in our block (they can just email you the list) - and we let everyone on the list know about the breakfast. We are also including the info on the card we are putting in the OOT bags, to remind guests. Looking back, it may have been easier to spread the word by putting something together in the invite about the breakfast - but then we'd still have to reach out to everyone after the fact to make sure they will def. be coming/staying for the breakfast. So to have an accurate headcount, you really need to reach out to everyone anyway - and the easiest way probably is just by following the block info and going from there.

If it's just a brunch provided by the hotel that anyone can go to, then put a note in the OOT gift bag letting them know (and saying what time you expect to be there if they want to see you two).  But if you're having a seperate brunch for your guests, then you may want to ask for RSVPs so you don't pay for people who aren't planning on attending.

I think I am going to put a card in the invitation for my out of town guests.  I will also check with the hotel for the guests who are local that decided to stay the night and let them know too. Then I will probably include it in the OOT bags.

My hotel is providing printed vouchers for the morning-after brunch that I will put in the OOT bags, and we only have to pay for the vouchers that are used.  But I will make sure that OOT guests know about it in advance when they are making travel plans, through word of mouth and on our wedding website.  Also I think I'll incorporate it into the invitation insert about the hotel block.

Agreed with PP.  We are putting invitations in the OOT bags and speading the word to our guests that aren't staying at the hotel after the wedding.

    Thanks everyone.

It is a a brunch that we will be paying for per person there.  So an accurate head count is a must.  Nicole, thanks for your input.  I think I may make a seperate note in the invitation, and just contact those who are getting a room once they block with the hotel.

we are debating on having a provate brunch or just the regular bruch. either way i think we have to pay for it, but the private one is more expensive. there would be a good amount of people staying over, but that doesnt mean everyone will come to brunch either. if you are doing a private sep brunch where ytou need a head count add that in the invite. otherwise, you can put it in the welcome bag.
