NJ Venues with a NYC skyline view?

Hi everyone :)

I was looking for venues that have a view of the NYC skyline, and i've only really been able to find the Chart House and the Liberty House in Jersey City.  Are there any other options???  Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Ditto LIberty House. We wanted to book there but it was way too far for our guests to travel from our church.

From what I've read, the ballrooms at the W and some of the Jersey City hotels don't have views. Also, Highlawn has great views (we've dined there), but if it's overcast or hazy, you won't be able to see anything. And even the riverfront venues with windows can't guarantee great views. I went to a shower at Waterside on a very rainy day, and you couldn't tell Manhattan was outside the windows.

This exactly. The day we went there, it was cloudy/raining and you couldn't see a thing because there was fog.

That's my and my fi's venue... I didn't mention it bc not a lot of people know about it.  But yes, I am head over heels for this place, our manager, everyone that we're working with.  Keep in mind it's not your typical ballroom.

It's a little less conventional, but have you thought about a boat that sails on the Hudson?

There are quite a few companies out there, we'll be using East Coast Yacht Cruises. The boat leaves out of NJ, will go right up to the Statue of Liberty, under the Brooklyn Bridge, etc.  No other place is going to give you all of that view!

For us, it really appealed to us because we're boat people.  Fiance is a navy brat, we go on a lot of cruises, sailing, fishing on boats, got engaged on a ship.  I guess if you're not a boat person it might not be your thing, but just thought I'd throw it out there because you can't beat the skyline view!

If you are just looking for pictures with the NYC skyline, without having to pay the price tag of the venues located on the hudson.. Just find a venue with great food and atmosphere, and then just take your photographer over to the hudson for a photo session after your ceremony, but before your reception.
  • Hi,

Did you ever wind up using East Coast Yacht cruises? We are thinking about it.
