Pre-wedding party help

We are having a pre-wedding get together at my parents house in a few weeks for our families and friends to all meet and hangout and just celebrate before the wedding (it isnt really an engagement party- no presents, just a laid back bbq of sorts)

Anyway, since there will be a pool, I thought it would be so cute to have one of those "soon to be Mrs...." bikinis or something like that (hoodie would be too hot i think), but as cute as I think that is, I also could see where it would look stupid/tacky, etc What do you all think? Is that a bit much?

(We are decorating a tiny bit- like the plates will be engagement plates, we will have sugar cookies shaped like rings, cupcakes with edible diamonds, etc- Im very excited about these haha)

I think it's a great idea.  When would you ever be able to do that again?  LOL  Perfect opportunity :)

Haha thanks so much! I feel the same way- its the ONLY time I would ever be able to wear something like that. But then in the same way, if I go buy it, its the only time I will wear it- is it worth it? I love cute stuff like this though, so maybe it is :) Anyone see these anywhere for less than $50/$60?

I feel better now- I know my family would all think its cute and they are used to me doing stuff like this, I just didnt want his family or friends to think it was tacky, etc.

BTW - has anyone seen a Groom to be beer kozy or something similar? Thought that could be cute for him too (since he wont wear a shirt like that haha). Thanks again!

If you plan on doing a lot of rhinestone stuff it may be worth it for you to buy the stuff to do your own bikini.  You just need hotfix rhinestones and Mylar paper and a bikini.  I did sweatshirts for my bridal party and undies for a friend pretty inexpensively.  I also did a bikini like you are talking about for a friend for her honeymoon.  Its really easy to do.

Awesome - thanks! I will try it. Can you get that at a craft store? Or do you just order it online?

I ordered all my stuff on ebay.  I ordered 2 years ago so I couldnt even tell you the seller.  A little bit of rhinestones goes along way.  I think I got 1000 and i have used them on many projects.
