Off the beaten path bachelorette party ideas?

Does anyone have any other bachelorette party ideas then going to AC or NYC?

Has anyone gone to a winery for theirs?

We were going to do AC.  Shopping, spa treatments, a good dinner and some partying.

However, I really like the winery idea.  You could rent a limo for the day and go winery hopping and end the day with a nice dinner.

yeah that is exactly what I was thinking.  My girlfriends were asking me for some ideas.  Most of them are going to have babies so I was thinking it would be nice for all of them to be able to get dropped off at home afterwards.

We did a dinner cruise around NYC out of Weehwaken for mine. It was a lot of fun and a different type of night out with the girls.

We did a wine tasting for my friend's bach party.  It was up in RI so I don't have any specific recommendations, but I have heard that there are some vineyards on Long Island that do wine tastings and dinner that are supposed to be delicious and a great time.

You could go up to Ithaca in NY, it's a bit of a drive, but maybe stay at a B&B for the night and like PP said, rent a limo to go around to the wineries.  Some places might offer tours of different wineries also.

Thanks everyone!  I think this can be a nice change considering everyone else had theirs in AC.

My friend went out with her girls to see Fuerza Bruta. It's an off-broadway show & it's amazing. I went a few months after with my now FI and loved it. They often offer discounted tickets through their Facebook page. I know that's still in NYC, but it's definitely not your typical night.

I LOVE FUERZA BRUTA.  I didn't know what I was in for since it's a little diff from the shows we typically go to, but it wow'd me!

If you're interested in going to a winery, the New Hope Winery in New Hope, PA is SO nice. The ladies who run it are extremely friendly, and if you go with a group they do a beautiful spread of snacks, appetizers and desserts for your tasting. You're supposed to pick 5 wines to taste, but when I went (during my senior week, with a group of 12 or so college seniors) they just kept letting us taste things! The wine is also very inexpensive (the most expensive bottle is about $22 buts IIRC) so you don't feel bad buying a few to take home.

The whole town of New Hope is really pretty. Lots of cute places to get lunch, cute little shops ... there's even a microbrewery that does tours/tastings, if you're interested in doing that as well.

This sounds awesome I am going to do some research.  We wanted to be able to eat at the tasting too.  Thanks a lot for the info.  I have been to New Hope before but probably not for about 5 years or so.  It is a very cute town!
