meadow wood manor

we went to the wedding party show there last month. still a beautiful facility. one wedding at a time. nice people and we liked that they were not real pushy trying to sell at the show like most places. food we had was good and had great presentation. tried to win the $10,000 prize....would have even been happy with the $5,000 one! well actually in the end woud have liked any prizes-they had some good ones! I think I saw someone on here won a lot of the prizes!   (Congratulations BTW) ANYWAY.....thinking about going back for another tour. Anyone know anything?

The sales woman whose name is escaping me is really great.  I did not book there for 1 major reason, I wanted to cocktail style reception.  They didnt seem to be interested in accomodating me wanting to do things different.  if I would have wanted a regualr wedding, I probably would have booked there in a second.

It was on the pricier side, for what I wanted to pay. It's nice that they only have one function at a time. And the staircase in the entry is pretty with the balcony, etc.

I just got married there this past January and loved it! The staff were great and the guests raved about the food, especially the cocktail hour. I'm really happy we went with them.

oh Congratulations Jenny!!! SO glad to hear that - seems like no one ever mentions it on here. So it could have been the best kept secret or ......well, not even going to think that way!! We went to a wedding there awhile ago and I pretty much knew it would be in the top 3 choices - if not the top choice. Just getting nervous because no one else talks about it I guess. Thanks for the reassurance!

Not sure if you, FI, or any of your parents are teachers...but they give a discount if so. :o)

I know no one ever seems to know it when I tell them that's where I am getting married or got married now. My brother in law djs on the side and recommended it to us. He told us how the staff is always so nice, the food is always good, and the it is the cleanest kitchen he's ever been in.

There isn't a lot posted about it on the Knot, but there have been a few people that had their weddings there and everyone that has raved about it. I am so happy we went with them. We had it down to two places and I think we totally made the right choice. If you go with them, I highly recommend the 50's station as one of the station options. Everyone loved that! Good luck with all your planning!

I got married there in August and I cant say enough good things about the place. Everyone there was so nice to us through out the whole process. For their cocktail hour, part of the passed hors d'oeuvres were 5 things that the chef chose to make that day. During the cocktail hour, the owner started walking around with a whole lobster. The next morning my father asked when I ordered the lobster, never thinking that the owner would choose to serve lobster during a cocktail hour. People are still commenting and raving about our wedding 6 months later. The food there, especially the cocktail hour is really amazing. I agree with the other post about recommending the 50s station, I got a lot of compliments about that.

I think part of the thing about people not knowing much about it is because it's only about 4-5 years old. If I remember correctly, the property used to be their warehouse for all of their other stores and they decided to renovate it. They also own the Famished Frog in Morristown, though.

I wish I had known about the discount for teachers! Me, my mother and father are all teachers!

Good luck with all your planning!

I booked my wedding there for October. We fell in love with the place - everywhere we went we compared to there. It's beautiful and I really hope everything turns out great.
And I agree - you don't hear much about it, even in magazines - but I sort of like that. Because everything you do hear is good but it's not out there too much

Hi ladies! Did any of you use the 50's station or mexican stations? I just wonder if you had them decorated and what not. I just don't want my wedding being considered 'cheesy'. Let me know! :)
