Dresses under $1k

My wedding is in May, so I absolutely have to find a dress before New Years. My question for everyone, do you know of any good bridal shops that have dresses under $1000 in northern NJ? Other than David's Bridal, which I would really like to avoid if possible.

Although I didn't purchase my dress there, I had a great experience at Hollywood Bridal in Kenilworth.  The consultant was honest, helpful and only pulled dresses in my budget.  Plus, they were much better priced than other salons.  You might consider calling ahead of time to see what they have to show you.

    Have fun :)

I got my dress at RK Bridal in NYC.

Also try Saw & Sew in Lafayette & Chrissy O's in Newton.

Check out e-bay for gently worn dresses.

I also just posted a PSA -- there's a $99 sale at Syms in Secaucus.

Russel's in Linden has gowns of all price ranges, as well as Park Ave Bridals in Verona, which is where I got my dress. My consultant was very respectful of my budget and only showed dresses within that range. The dresses are there, you just have to put your foot down & make sure that's all they show you.

My dress was over 1k, but I did get a good discount because it was a sample.  As long as it's in good condition, you can make out really well at either sample sales or just asking the store the possibility of buying the sample.  The only concern is that you can fit in the sample size, I had to squeeze into mine lol.

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions ladies. I've looked at RK, but want to look elsewhere before I make a decision. Checking out Hollywood Bridal and possibly Russell's next week!

I got my dress at Barefoot Bride in Red Bank, and it was under $1k :)

My dress was under 1k but the store I purchased from has closed down. The designer is Mary's Bridal. You can try going to their site and putting your zip in for stores that carry the designer. I know majority of their dresses are under 1k.
    Good Luck!

I got my Pronovias gown for well under $1000 at Castle Couture in Malboro, and we got an additional discount for paying all at once up front.  Also check out True Love Bridal in Matawan, Hearts for You in Manalapan, Barefoot Bride in Red Bank, and Russell's as PP mentioned.  Keep in mind that you may need to pay extra to rush order your dress given that your wedding is in May.

I tried on dresses at a bunch of places, and I never once tried on a dress over $800. Definitely try Hollywood, Russel's, and Arlene's Bridal in Bloomfield.

I got my dress from Hollywood Bridal for under 1000 including alterations.  All together I spent 1350 on my dress, veil, headpiece, and jewelry all from Hollywood.  I highly recommend them.
