Reception or No Reception/and Inexpensive locations

I am way early with all of the planning, but I want everything to come together perfectly with no mistakes. We are trying to find a reception hall for our wedding and that not as costly being we are on a budget with this wedding. My wedding date is 9/22/12....please say somebody has ideas we are definitely lost here. I would like for the place to be local (in Raleigh).

What is not costly to you guys? Also is there a particular type of place or feel that you are looking for? Are you open to places around Raleigh or looking just inside city limits? I looked at a handful of places between Durham and Raleigh. Let me know what you are looking for more specifically and I'll see if I can help.

What type of venue are you hoping for? How many people are you inviting and what is your budget? And are you only looking for Raleigh or is the surrounding area ok too? I've got a bunch of people flying in so I need my venue to be near the airport.

Personally my budget is the cheapest we can get so I know what you mean by inexpensive but do you have a ballpark idea yet? I've been creating a google map with local Raleigh venues and I've got a pretty big list so far. If you give us some more info about what you're looking for we can try to help.

And don't worry, my wedding's a year and a half away but that's not stopping me from getting started.

Thanks very much, sorry for the delay in responding, but I'm looking for something within the city limits or something local. Not costly would be no more then $1000.

I need a loaction that is spacious maybe 1000 or less sq ft. We are inviting about 150 to 200 people and our total budget is $4500, but if we can come out cheaper trust me we definitely will go for it. The surrounding area is ok, but the way I was looking at things was if its too far away from the church then people will leave and not want to attend which is not what I wanted to happen, but hey I could definitely be wrong. LOL I didnt know if it was too early or not, but you are absolutely right I want to get started as early as possible so that I wont have a lot to do towards the end.
