The Tides Estate in North Haledon, NJ

Hi everyone!
Has anyone been to a wedding at The Tides Estate in North Haledon?  Does anyone know approximately what they charge?

Also, the same question for the Olde Mill Inn and Grain House in Basking Ridge?

My wedding date is May 2013.

Thank you!

  • I am getting married at The Tides this September.  For a Sunday, they are charging me approximately $75 per person for the smaller downstairs room.

The banquet manager, Tom Austin, is really nice.  It's a beautiful venue.  You should definitely check it out if you haven't already!

I am getting married at the Tides in 6 months!!!  It also depends on if you want the downstairs room (smaller and cheaper) then the upstairs room.  We are paying $140 including tax and gratuity but we are also having our ceremony there so they charge extra per head for that.  That includes a huge cocktail hour, salad, intermizo, 4 entree choices, cake and a dessert hour.  We had to guarantee 175 people for the upstairs ballroom.

This is for a Friday night wedding in July.

  • Thank you!
We will definitely need the larger upstairs room since we have approximately a 225  guest list, but we are getting married at my church in Jersey City, therefore the ceremony fee doesn't apply for us.
    Thanks for all your help!
  • I am getting married there in Dec, for a Saturday evening we are paying in the $100. range and had to guarantee 175 for the upstairs room.
  • I attended a wedding at The Grain House this summer including the outdoor ceremony.  One downside is that it's very close to Rte 287 so if you're doing an outdoor ceremony, you'll hear some truck traffic.  I don't know what they charge, but I know the couple was on a very tight budget so it couldn't have been too much.  That said, I don't know that they can accomodate 225 guests.
  • Hi!  I'm getting married at The Tides in August and we're paying $65 per person and with tax and gratuity it comes to about $92. We're also having our ceremony there and 100 guests. We're in the smaller room downstairs. Also, one of my friends got married there about 3 years ago and she had about 250 guests and she was in the ballroom upstairs.
  • Hi!

We are getting married at the Tides Estate next Sept (2013). They were the most reasonably priced venue that we found in North Jersey. A Sunday night is 85 per person, Saturday day time is 75 per person, and Sat night is around 100 --- plus the tax and tip on top of it. Tito was excellent and worked with us on pricing. You get a ton of food, table linens and more included in that price. I also liked Old Mill Inn, but they were much more expensive. For the lesser dining package, it was 125 per person plus tax and tip. If you want to switch table linens, napkins, it was at an additional cost. Good luck!
