New Jersey

Beach wedding

Hello! I just got engaged about 2 months ago and am trying to get some ideas for our wedding. We want to get married in New Jersey in the beach. Our original idea was to rent a beach house and have the ceremony on the beach and reception at the beach house. Its a small wedding of about 50-60 people. I'm looking for any suggestions or ideas as to where would be a good location or if anyone knows of any waterfront rental houses. Help please! :)

thats such a great idea! what about long beach island? there are tons of beautiful houses there, and the beach isnt as crowded as most during the day

check out VRBO.com to look for houses. LBI would be perfect for that! another suggestion: Avenue in Long Branch

I know it's possible to arrange for weddings inside of state parks.  Maybe Island Beach?

I know you were looking for houses. But you may also want to try Cape May. I went to a wedding there recently. The couple rented out a bed and breakfast and had their wedding there.

Another venue which is further north is the Spring Lake Manor. It is an old house that is right across from the beach.

I know there are a ton of amazing places in Cape May to the type of wedding you are talking about.. Perhaps renting out a bed and breakfast would be a nice option? I sooo wanted to do that, but our families are too big. Good luck!

Hey guys! Thanks for the ideas. I am looking into LBI now. I did look at Spring Lake too. I'm so nervous about the weather!  I'm trying to find a house with two stories so if the weather isn't good we can have it on the lower deck. Its a real tight budget but hopefully we will be able to do it.

    Thanks again!
