Ack no power or Internet!

Hello Everyone,

I've been itching to go on the boards but having shoddy power ( none now!) and no Internet really blows. Even the cell tower near us fell and I could only make calls or text.

Hey Christine I'm lucky where I am - little to no damage, no power outages, so we're fine. My university, however, is smack dab in the middle of the mess and hasn't had power or heat since Saturday ... they had to clear the undergrads out of the dorms and everything! So we've had classes cancelled through Wednesday, tentatively hoping power will be restored by Thursday.

Can't say this unexpected holiday from classes isn't lovely!

I heard dorms were having issues. Stock up on ramen and non perishables!!

Luckily, I live at home - but my friends who are still undergraduates and live in the dorms are stuck sleeping on cots in the gym of a college in the next town over!

We just got word classes are cancelled through Thursday ... it's crazy.
