Makeup Trial (PIP) I'd love opinions!

I had my trial with Gina Brozon today.  I love her, she was so great!
We ended up doing my shadow twice because I was a little on the fence about the colors for the first one.

Here is my hideous before picture- post Neutrogena makeup remover cloth all over my face :)
Opinions? I left loving #2 because it looked more natural and was more "me", but now that I see the pictures of the first look I like it better than I did when I was looking in the mirror.  Maybe I need to have a more dramatic version of the gold?

I like the 2nd look. Much more natural as you don't look like you have black eyes....JMHO

I think you look lovely in both, and if I were you I'd choose the second.  I'd personally go with the look which makes you look in the mirror and say "I look pretty!" rather than the one that makes you look in the mirror and feel pretty but uncomfortably made up and not like yourself.

I love look #1!!!! Very pretty and special for the wedding!

I like both! I think though that you look more comfortable in the second set of pictures, with the gold eye shadow. Maybe because you weren't too sure about the first look? But I think they both look great.

I think it depends on what you want for your big day. Do you want to look more like yourself or a little different, but still you? If you want what you're most comfortable with on a day to day basis, I say go with the second option. Otherwise I go for the first.

(I am not sure if that makes sense!)

It totally makes sense because it's exactly how I feel!!  LOL!

Does look #1 look purplish to any of you?  She used all taupe shadows, but I felt it looked purple and I feel like it has a purple tinge to it.  I saw every eye shadow and none was purple...

I would lean more towards #1, but I like a darker makeup look.  Either way I don't think you can go wrong, you're beautiful with and without any makeup!

I see an ever so slight tint of purple. But then again it could because of my monitor settings, the lighting where you were, or even just you suggesting it!

Another way to look at it is when you look back on your wedding pictures are you going to wonder why you went with the taupe option rather than the gold option?

But it sounds like you really like the second option better. I say go for it! Either way you looked fabulous! :)

Love look 1. Definitely better than look 2, in my opinion

That's tough- I love both looks. I see what you mean by it looking purple-ish, that's what color I thought it was, but not really in a bad way. I guess you don't have a pic of your eyes closed with the second look? I would go with what you are comfortable with- if you felt too done up with the first look you won't be comfortable on the wedding day, but maybe make the second look a little more dramatic and it will be the best of both worlds? I had mine gold tones and loved it

    Thanks everyone :)

I don't have a picture with my eyes closed in look #2.  I wish I realized that before I took it all off- I should have posted earlier.

I really think look #1 is gorgeous.  Your eyes "pop" so much.  But... your face is much more relaxed in look #2 so I might lean towards that look if I were you.  Either way you'll look beautiful.  :)

You look great in both, but I like #1 better because I think it makes your green (hazel?) eyes pop more...

    Either option = beautiful  :)

I love look number 2 - you look so pretty!  I am with you though - I always prefer a more natural, less made up look.  You should go with the one you feel more comfortable in.  You look beautiful in both so no worries.

you look great in both versions!  I honestly don't prefer one look over the other.  I  Choose the one you're most comfortable with.  In the end, all that matters is how YOU feel :)

Jen, you look fantastic :) in BOTH.

I say go with the more gold-toned if you lean towards it: it photographs as gorgeously as the plum shades, you look amazing!

You look beautiful in both, but if I had to pick, I'd go with the first look.

I love them both but if I had to pick I would pick 2. Looks a little more natural to me.

I think both look great! I would say you need to go with what you feel comfortable. I loved my trial after I got it done but them when I came home and showed FI he was like oh umm wow. It wasn't exactly the reaction I was looking for. He said it was just a little more than he expected and wasn't used to seeing me like that. I knew right then and there that on the day of the wedding I needed her tone it down. I didn't want to look so done up and not feel like myself on one of the most important days of my life.

I like #1 better because it's a little more dramatic without looking overdone.  I think it may pop more in your pictures.

I think you look beautiful in both pictures-although I am leaning more toward look 1. Even though it is more than you are used to it doesn't look over done and you do want to stand out more in your pictures.  In the end like some of the other posters said, you need to be comfortable.

Either one looks very beautiful.  I think the reason #1 looks like a little more makeup is because you have the picture of your eyelids, and I can't compare that with the second look (you didn't take a picture of your eyelids).

If I had to choose, I'd go with look #2 because it looks more natural.

they both look fantastic!! I would go with look 2 - it looks great and you are more comfortable with it.
