Florist delivery fee

Our florist is great and I think she's giving us a very good price on flowers, but I've just calculated the delivery fee and it's 10% of our ~$950 total bill.

I think she'll be making 4 stops (maybe only 3 if she takes the bouts and the M.O.G. corsage directly to the church), but does that seem really high to anyone else? Even if she makes all 4 stops, it's only 36 miles entirely and they're all local, so there are no tolls. Google maps says the whole trip is only an hour of driving.

Please tell me I'm being unreasonable if you think so. I really like her and I don't want any reason to think she's ripping me off.

Is that what is quoted in your contract??  If so, I don't think there is much you can do.   That is approx. $95.     Our florist didn't charge a delivery fee, so I am not sure what the average is, but at this point with just over a month to go if you signed a contract with that included there isn't much you can do.

We are being charged a $140 delivery fee for 3 stops, so I definitely think $95 seems reasonable!

to me that seems high.. but our florist doesn't charge a delivery fee, so I really have nothing to base that on.. I just can't see paying that much to have flowers delivered.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I very much appreciate it! Although there's really nothing I could do at this late date, I'm not shy about mentioning it if I think a vendor is overcharging. I'd rather bring it up and talk with them about it than stew about it in silence.

In this case, I wasn't sure whether a delivery fee was usually just a nominal sum, like $25, or if they could sometimes get substantial and 10% wasn't outrageous. I think highly of this florist and I didn't want this to affect my opinion of her (and I also didn't want to offend her unnecessarily if the lovely Knotties could give me the answer).

ours was included in her pricing so it wasn't extra.

Ours was several hundred dollars for 3 stops, but we had some rentals involved too (that needed to be picked up after the wedding).

The lowest estimate we got, which was for 2 stops (and only maybe 15 miles of driving, and no rentals) was $60.

I was being charged $250 at a small florist. I went with Metropolitan Flower Exchange instead because their delivery fee was only $60. It's a bigger company, so i guess that's why it is cheaper.
