fireworks at reception?

Hello. My venue offers fireworks as an add on and I am sort of intrigued.....has anyone had or seen this done and what are your thoughts? Tia, as always!

    I honestly think it's really tacky to do fireworks at a wedding.  First of all, from what I've seen the price is around $5,000- there are way better things to spend your money on.  Plus, you're making all your guests leave your venue to go outside and watch, which takes away from the fun time at the wedding that you've planned.

    Our venue offered them too and we decided to pass. The packages began around $3K I think. It wasn't right for us but a lot of people do them. Agu101 is right... The night goes by so fast that it might take away from quality time with your guests. But if you are intrigued you should definitely inquire. GL!
