Rehearsal Dinner: 2 Questions about Day & Location

Hi All,

2 questions:

1- If my wedding is on a Friday, is appropriate to have the rehearsal dinner on Thursday? Or should I do it the Friday before.

2-Anyone have any suggestions of a BYOB in the Middlesex County Area?

Thanks in advance.

Jennifer

I would say that Thursday night is the better option as long as your bridal party is fairly local.  I would assume that a lot of your OOT guests will not be able to make it with either of those options (unless theyre coming in Thursday).  I think it would be more hectic to do it the week before, and IMO it is more exciting to do it the night before the wedding.

    hello!
My wedding is on a Friday, and we're having the rehearsal dinner on the Saturday before.

Sorry can't comment on your second question since I'm not sure.

If you have any out of town BMs or GMs, I would do it the night before (Thursday).  You don't want them to have to travel two weekends in a row.

All my BP and family were in NJ (within an hour away) but because I got married the day after thanksgiving, and we just couldn't do it during the week, we did it on Sunday before.  We did a early rehearsal and then lunch, now this probably will not work if you are getting married at a church.

I would talk to your bridal party and other RD guests about what works best for them. I wouldn't mind attending a Thursday RD if I was local or if I was flying in anyway, but it might not work out for people who would be driving round-trip for more than an hour each way the same night.

I know that Ponte Vechio in Old Bridge is good but I can't remember if its BYOB.

I got married on a Friday, and all of our BP and immediate family is local, so we had our RD on Wednesday night. That gave us Thursday to relax

We got married on a Friday and it was just easiest to have the rehearsal dinner on Thursday.  We had people coming from OOT on Thursday so we just did it that night.  We would have been missing too many people if we did it the weekend before.
