Just curious when you will be mailing your invitations?

I was thinking Dec 6th - ish... Does that sound too early??

    Standard rule of thumb is 2 months before the date.

    I think in your case its fine to send them early so they don't get mixed in with holiday cards.

    Even if the 2 months before falls during the Christmas /New Years week?

    I'm getting married on 2/25/2011.

    I would do December 6th then...don't do it right around the holidays because people might not receive them (they may get lost, or people may be on vacation, etc.).

    I am sending mine out on November 19 because our rsvp date is Jan 19th for our feb 19th wedding :)

    I am February 26th and we are sending ours right after Thanksgiving.  Like others have said we dont want them to get caught up in the Holiday mail!  Also, the post offices get so much around the holidays that I always find things are a bit more damaged around this time because they are so busy so that is another reason I want to send them a bit earlier
