Budget Wedding...

We are paying for our wedding ourselves, and we still need to purchase a home as well.  We are getting married in October 2011.  Where are some pretty, but decently priced venues where you can also hold the ceremony outside?

Please help!

Central Jersey is has cheaper venues than north Jersey.
Try the English Manor or the Channel Club.

FI and I are in the exact same position, and we're getting married in July 2011.  Our wedding and outdoor ceremony (pending weather) on a budget are going to be at The Manor in West Orange on a Sunday.

Your very welcome.  How much are you looking to spend per person?  Also do you care if it's a Friday/Saturday or Sunday?

You should look into The Manor and The Empire Club (they have a small outdoor area).  I would recommend my venue, The Graycliff but they don't have an outdoor area.

We haven't really even talked about the cost yet.  I say $100 or less.   We were looking into a Sunday, because we know that that day is usually cheaper.

we are in the  same exact boat  as well.  luckily i  deicded to use  our  current home ( parents home)  as  the venue.  outdoors, please no rain!  but  will have to  get a tent  still.  tents and  caterers  run a   bunch in themselves.  our budget  is only 5k,  so im  pinch  all areas  cept  photographer,  tent, and and caterer.  everything else  is  pennies lol

LOL!  That's how we are.  We need to cut back everywhere.  We want an intimate wedding anyway, so I'm okay with something small and simple.  Wow, 5k??  We said maybe do a max of 10k, but I'd much rather 5!  lol

We're getting married at Perona Farms next august on a sunday afternoon and we're paying $85pp. Our ceremony is also outside.

We are having out reception at The Tides Estate, I am paying 80 pp for a Saturday night in May 2012. I'm not getting married there, but I kinda wish i were,  the outside ceremony space is beautiful!

We're also getting married in October 2011 and our budget is $15K... Our venue was very decently priced and their preferred caterer worked with our budget. Check out the Rutgers Gardens and Twin Oaks Caterering.

Thank you for all of your tips!  We are booking Perona Farms today!!  We went there yesterday and we both fell in love with the place.  I absolutely love the outside areas for ceremonies!  YAY so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
