floating candle holders

I'm thinking of having some candle and some flower centerpieces.  I love flowers, but I'm hoping using some candles would cut the flower cost.  I would like to use clear glass cylinders for floating candles.  My idea is to use 3 different heights (possible 8", 10", 12"...nothing too high) with a floating candle and flower on the inside (already talked to the florist to get an idea of cost of flowers if I supplied the holders).

Any thoughts on this?  Have any of you done something like this or similar?  Have any of you found stores/websites that carry glass cylinder vases for cheap...I have found a few (quickcandles.com, modernvasesandgift.com...)

Anyone use/know of places I can get these from?

    Hi:
I'm doing this for my november 2011 wedding. I bought 6", 7.5" and 10.5" cylinders. If your wedding is after mine I'll sell them to you for cheap. If not, I'll let you know the website I got them from.

There is a wholesale warehouse that has all different crafts supplies, G&G distributors, in Saddlebrook. They also have a website that you can look to see if they have what you are looking for. I know I went there to get all my supplies for DIY projects and it was cheaper than anything else I found online.

I am thinking about doing the same idea. I bought vases from quickcandles.com and 7" from the dollar store(or dollar tree-can't remember).
Ebay also has wholesale websites where they are a little cheaper....what type of flower are you putting in the water? I am going to put a rose and weight it down so it stays under the water. I am also putting glass beads from Crate & Barrel- called pebblets- on the bottom to add color pop....
    Hope this helps!

Renee - thanks for the offer, but wedding is July of 2011.

I did see quickcandles (pretty good deal for the 12 pack of 3 with candles, and also saw the dollar tree had the 7" (wish they had more sizes there)...

I will check out the G&G also.

    Thanks girlls!
