What was the first wedding-related purchase you made after your engagement?

We were at Target tonight and bought our Thank You cards which was our first purchase (besides a wedding planning book I bought awhile ago).

My dress. Only 6 months between engagement and wedding necessitated choosing quickly. I think I did a good job though. I LOVE my dress.

After our Wedding- we splurged on a King Size Tempurpedic Mattress- OMG I've never slept so good in my life..... working on the new bedroom set now!

Books and magazines -- the InStyle weddings book, Simple Stunning Weddings, and Martha Stewart and InStyle Weddings magazines.

The next thing I bought probably was my dress, over a year later.  I didn't jump into planning and didn't see the need to buy things that would have to be stored for two years, so I didn't buy decorative stuff until way closer to the wedding.
