Meadow Wood Manor

This place is very pretty & close to me.  However, have never been to a wedding there.  Has anyone attended a wedding there?  Any thoughts?  Also, did anyone ever receive a quote from there?

    I have attended a wedding there. It was beautiful! Great food & amazing Venetian Hour! I had a great time. No idea what they paid though.

    We went to look at it, and it was our second choice.  I don't have any of my paperwork with me now, but I think it was about $160 pp inc. tax/tip once we eliminated the valet and seafood/sushi stations for a Saturday night in May.

    I really loved what I saw when the dude and I went looking at Meadow Wood--we almost signed a contract there, but went in a totally different direction with location (a botantical garden and BBQ catering). Mary Ellen Hatcher was the woman we worked with and she was really amazing and very helpful in terms of trying to meet a budget. If you look at their website, they have a deal for 100 people or more starting at $99/pp for the "off-season" months. If you DON'T have 100 people (we didn't) they were still very willing to work with you and your budget.

    I totally recommend taking a look.

    I went to look there with my mom and the place is beautiful! I was not at all impressed with Mary Ellen though. I asked if I could use an outside person for the cake (Anne Heap from Pink Cake Box) and all she did was talk about how inconsistent she is and that even though her cakes are beautiful, they are normally dry. Now, I have my cake tasting with Anne of Saturday, so we'll see how it goes...but I found that to be a big turn off for me! You never talk down other businesses that a bride maybe working with, it's very unprofessional.

    Also, I got quoted $169 for a Saturday in April. She told us our wedding date was in the middle of "high" season. Everywhere else, told us we were "off" season.

    My best friend had her wedding there. It was pretty. I don't really remember the food that much. All I know is that the wedding area (if you're having the ceremony there) was really small.

    We had our wedding there and it was amazing. Everyone was wonderful!
    The food was great and the service was awesome. I absolutely love The Meadow Wood.
