Just wanted to post a quick warning to other brides. We have been trying to block hotel rooms for our wedding next June and wanted a cheap option for our guests along with the Sheraton we have already blocked.
The problem is that the woman we were dealing with was not the least bit helpful. It took several calls to get them to respond in the first place and when we finally got a rate we were happy with, it took several more calls to get them to finallly send us the contract only to find out they wanted a $1000 deposit (about $500 from the cost of booking all the rooms we were supossed to be holding.) Called AGAIN and they insisted they could not hold the rooms without booking the rooms outright.
So frustrating to put in the effort to block rooms and it turned out to be a waste. If you are looking for affordable hotels in the area to block choose one of the others on that street.
