personalized drink stirrers - keep or pass??

Anyone doing personalize drink stirrers? I haven't found any really decent ones. How about matches? Hardly anyone I know smokes so this seems kind of wastful. I did get some personalized napkins. What else are others doing / getting??

honestly, the more personalized things, I think it looses it's appeal, esp if it's at a reception hall, because it takes away from the beauty of the hall and then looks chinsy.   If it's at your house or a vfw it's a little different. the drink stirrers is a cute idea, but I feel a waste a money, no one will keep it after.

I did drink stirrers and was really glad I did.  They added some fun to the drinks during cocktail hour.  There is a pic in my blog if you want to see them.

Not really worth it. I'd say stick with the napkins and leave it at that.

I'm not having any items at the wedding that are personalized except perhaps the favor boxes with a sticker. That's still up in the air. It just seemed like an additional expense that we didn't really care about anyway. I would just stick with napkins and leave it at that like Laurns suggested.

I wouldn't do drink stirreres, that's very outdated to me. I did napkins and matches. Like you, not many of our friends smoke, but everyone was raving over the matches. They loved them and were taking them as momentos. I was hoping to have a good amount leftover but was left with none :-/ I did keep a few beforehand, but I was shocked they were all gone.

We didn't do any personalized items and nobody seemed to miss them.

We sometimes keep personalized matchbooks from weddings (MH occasionally smokes cigars, and they're just useful to have around the house for candles) but the other stuff is a waste IMO.

If you haven't found any really decent ones, I wouldn't do it.  I'd only do it if you find ones that are classy and pretty and that fit your decor -- you would want them to add something positive rather than something eh to your event.  Same with napkins and matches and such.

I would pass. It seems more like an unnecessary expense.

IMO i dont love the personalized things, they seem to be a little cheesy after a while.  i think napkins are cute if anything, but i wouldn't go overboard on the personalized things.
