NJ Marriage License

Hi all -

I have a couple questions regarding getting NJ marriage license that I'm hoping you can help me with.

1. What municipality do we need to go to? Can we go to my fiances municipality?
2. I live with my fiance, but my license still has my parents address on it. Technically me and fiance have the same municipality living wise, but will we need to go to the one where my parents live? Will this be a problem. Just curious since all my bills, checking acct, etc... have my fiances address on it now because that's where I get my mail.

Any guidance would be great!

It's not a problem at all. We live in Bayonne but my DL still said Hoboken. We got ours in Bayonne.

As long as you have proof of your residence in your fiance's place you should be fine.

If you think its going to be an issue, you can update your address online with DMV and they will mail you the address correction sticker that is applied to the back of your license as well as your vehicle registratoin. Then everything will match. And i don't believe they charge for that service. You just have to wait for it to arrive in the mail.
