Engagement Party gift

I just got invited to my Boss' daughter's engagement party.  I do not know her well but have met her a few times.  I am very close to my boss and to another daughter of his.  I know I will get her something off her registry, but I really have no idea what is appropriate to spend.  

Any ideas?

Oh gosh. That is tough. I say whatever you feel comfortable with. Not as much as a sister/first cousin, but more than an acquaintance? hmm..I  say keep it at around 50 and try to get something at Bed Bath and Beyond. You can spend almost 65 bucks and get a reasonable discount with a 20% coupon.

I think anywhere around 50 is a pretty good amount, especially since it's not a close friend or family member.
