church maps??

Would to make a church map if your church doesnt provide them to put inside the wedding invitations???? I thought with all the technology people can put it in thier gps or look on the computer for directions but wanted your thoughts

    I did, just on plain copy paper.  I just got a wedding invite and was really annoyed that this wasnt provided and that I had to look it up and print it out.  I dont have a GPS, a lot of people still dont.

    hmmm I am doing fold and send invites and I wasn't planning on including maps for the same reason as mariaNryan plus I don't think they will stay inside the invites without me taping them or something and I really dont want to do that. However, it never crossed my mind that people would get annoyed about not receiving them. Curious - do others feel the same as maddie7. I may need to rethink this, dont want annoyed guests.

    12/2/11 began accupuncture; Break in Dec. Next cycle anticipated in Jan.

    I would.  Not everyone has GPS . especially the older crowd.  I'm sure there is a site online that would do it for you

    I am doing directions, I don't know that I'm printing out a map....

    I was also planning on putting a direction card that gives specific directions from church to the hall in the program.

    We didn't plan on doing it, but right before we sent out the invites we had a change of heart and whipped up a directions card through Vistaprint.com. (We didn't include a map/picture, just written directions.)

    I wouldn't be angry if I got an invitation that didn't include directions, but I think it's a nice thing to do if you can include them. Especially if there are multiple ways to get to your church and some are better than others, or if your church is particularly difficult to find.

    how do you make directions to your church if there is no directions on the church website thats generic??? our church website just has mapquest where you just enter your home address

    You do it from major roads- like my church is close to Rt. 22/ I- 78  and then you figure guests coming from NY, PA, south and north....  That is what I did anyway.  While not having them may look prettier, I know they really are appreciated.  Again, I am sitting her printing out directions to the church for tomorrow's wedding, then from the church to the venue.  She provided a venue card, but more specific directions were still needed.  I am annoyed...

    And as far as GPS goes, half the time they are wrong and take you a ridiculous way...

    Definitely use your GPS, but also drive the route to the church with your fiance or a friend to make sure you get all the turns and landmarks down correctly on your directions sheet. DH and I did it but missed a turn and some of our guests got lost.
