Ugh.. big mistake :(

I put the wrong phone number on the Accomodations card for the hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ahhhhhh.  Do you think I should send out  notes or postcards explaining the change/correction??  It's on my website correctly.. but lots of people aren't computer friendly.  It was on the Save the Date correctly too (prior to my invitations going out 33 rooms were booked).

The number is to some "guy".. I called him and left a voicemail to apologize.  He's probably screening his calls now since he's getting tons of calls.  (he does have a sexy voice though)

I am such an idiot.  I am currently beating myself up over this.  How do I correct this? Suggestions Please...

Word of mouth, sending out a little letter, calling them... at least you don't have to contact the 33 that already booked a room!

and as someone who had their number given instead of an electrician's in the phone book... it sucks. But at least yours only went to x number of ppl, and will be invalid after 2 months... mine continues, from 3 yrs ago!

My best friend did the same thing.  Once people realize, they will look elsewhere to check the phone number and find the right one.  Don't stress too much about it!!

I'm sure people will realize and look the number up themselves. Just think- it'll be less OOT boxes you'll need to put together!

Danes, I would DEFINITELY send something out correcting that mistake.  People who aren't from the area are not going to know if the problem is transposed digits, or that you put Exit 47 instead of 46, or if it should just be 4 or 7 or what.  Since those exits are probably 25 miles away from each other you could be asking for a LOT of trouble on your wedding day.

Christine, I wouldn't worry about it too much.  I'd maybe call anyone you know wants to stay, you know hasn't booked yet, and you know doesn't use computers much.  Anyone who is unlikely to stay over, has booked yet, or is internet-savvy will figure it out.

With the way my family works and communicates with each other, I know that if I were to get in touch with a few key people, word would get to everyone.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. People will figure it out eventually. No big deal.

I put the wrong number for the wedding hotel on our wedding Web site. Turns out the number was an 800 toll-free number instead of the 888 toll-free number for the hotel. And to top it all off, the 800 number was for a sex hot line!!! Of course, as bad luck would have it, the first one to call it was my future father-in-law. So that was completely embarrassing...but funny when I look back at it. So at least you didn't make that big of an error, right?
