Best Deal on a Friday Night Wedding Reception?

Hi everyone! I'm am in the process of helping my sister plan her July 25th, 2014 wedding and we are looking for the best deal on a Friday night wedding venue! We have three questions!

Where is your reception being held?

How much are you being charged/were you charged?

What was included?

Thanks in advance!!

  • Not a Friday night bride, but you might want to try contacting the Tides or the Brownstone. During my research, they were least expensive and a lot came in the packages.

  • I am having a friday wedding.  I booked the grand marquis in old bridge for April 2014.  I love the place.  They gave us a fantastic deal that includes a lot. I had my stasting already and the food was amazing.  Its all inclusive.
I think the prices are affected by how far ahead you book and the time of year.  I would give them a call.  Ask for Joe or Lauren

  • I got married on a Friday night in November and we had our reception at the Inn at Lambertville Station in Lambertville, NJ. The Friday night minimum was only 50 guests and I think their max capacity is around 125. The package was $100/pp including tax and gratuity for a four hour reception (three hours reception, 1 hour cocktail hour), but you can add an extra hour for an extra charge per head ($3 something for an hour without alcohol and $6 something for an hour with alcohol). That included the four hour open bar, cheese/crackers and fruit table with 6 butlered hot apps for cocktail hour, three course dinner, cake, champagne/white wine toast (champagne for the guests, white wine for us), linens in your choice of color, table numbers (bonus), and a comped night in a bridal suite. The staff also set up all the tables and cleaned everything up for us. The dessert bar we added was extra, and there was a fee to rent the separate room for the cocktail hour, but all and all we felt it was a fantastic deal for what we got. There wasn't a gluttonous amount of food that you'll find at other weddings in the area, but there was plenty of it and I didn't go to bed hungry. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reasonably priced wedding in the Mercer/Hunterdon area.
  • We are getting married Friday, July 5th. This is the perfect date as we get the Friday discount, but it has all the benefits of a Saturday wedding (most people off work the day of and day after). See if she can consider July 5th! We saved about $30 pp off of the Saturday rate and were able to get away with less guests.
  • And it is at the W Hoboken. It includes sit-down dinner, dessert, cake, all the other things typically included in a full-service venue.
  • Can i ask how much you are paying per person?
