A Cappella Group

I am interested in having an a cappella group perform at the ceremony and during the cocktail hour (I already know which group I'd like to have).  Has anyone been to a wedding that had an a cappella group, and if so, do you have any advice?  What songs sound good?  Thanks!

Stage - I understand, but after being to 14 weddings in the last year, I am tired of the same old thing at the ceremony and cocktail hour.

I would do it. I have seen a cappella groups at weddings, but not at cocktail hour. That is not to say it wouldn't work well. But be warned, I'm a music geek so I find stuff like that cool. I mean, vocal groups entertain at clubs, bars, etc., so why not at a cocktail hour? Does your group do only a cappella? I've dealt with some groups that do a cappella and also sing with a combo too (string bass, piano, drum set) and it livens up the mood. They probably have some good rep that would work for the cocktail hour. I'd ask what they currently have. You can't go wrong with classic jazz standards, maybe some beatles (lots of their stuff has been arranged for a cappella groups), some modern, etc.
