Eternity Bands & Point Size

We looked at wedding bands today and I'm set on an eternity band.  What is your opinion on what point size should go with my 1ct solitaire engagement ring? I like the look of the .16 or .17 but I think I might need to go back and take another look just in case the diamonds are too big.  I wouldn't want the band to overshadow my engagement ring.

I think you need to look at them together and see what you like best.  I had a tough time because mine is a 3 stone ring and it has pave stones down the sides of  the band.  It was tough to find the right size eternity band that was complimentary, yet not too much that it took away from my Ering.  I must have tried on 10 different eternity bands before I found one that was just right.
