Branches and Shadowbrook

Anyone have any experience/opinions and either of these venues?  Looking into booking at one of the two of them and need some help!  Food quality, service, price, etc.  Thanks!

My colleague's daughter is having her reception there next year and they have been very happy with Shadowbrook so far.  She booked in November 09 for a March 11 wedding and got a great deal.

Shadowbrook looks amazing in the 3 page ads they do in my Bridal Mags... but you never know until you see it in person.

IMHO Shadowbrook has far better quality food, service etc than Branches. I looked at Branches and found their staff to be rude and just wanting you to book, without answering any questions. My mom also goes there twice a year for work parties and says that the food is very on and off- and once she was served two frozen hors d'oeurves (two different types).

Shadowbrook when we were looking (and attended a bridal show) had great service and the food was amazing. I mean, we left so full b/c we kept eating and trying everything b/c it was so good! My friend had her rehearsal dinner there and everyone said the food and service was great as well. The ambiance wasn't for my DH which is why we didn't book there- but I just like Shadowbrook better. It's also more remote, whereas Branches is kind of in the middle of everything.

I would agree with Allie as far as location goes. Shadowbrook is more secluded than Branches. Shadowbrook you definitely go down a tree lined drive to get to it as such there really is no one else driving by, noise from the street is gone, etc. Branches is located right on a busy street behind two shopping centers. It definitely has more noise, cars, etc going by.

As far as the food, I have had both and I haven't had any bad experiences with either. Although if I had to pick one, I would definitely say Shadowbrook. Branches food is okay depending on food selection. But in comparison with Shadowbrook, Shadowbrook is better IMO. HTH and GL!

We got married @ Branches and i didn't think it was awesome. It was nice but the girls are right the service wasn't that great. There were a crap load of good reviews on weddingwire or another website and i thought it'd be better but service was not as great. They did have good food though.

No experience with Shadowbrook, but we had unpleasant experiences with Branches. They are very misleading and are basically located in the middle of a KMart parking lot... not at all near the beach like their website suggests.

I looked at Shadowbrook for my wedding and decided not to book them.  The shape of the room was awkward and I started asking around after I looked and several people described it as "eh, ok."
