Shoes!

Hi Ladies-
I'm having trouble finding shoes that I loooooove. I want fun kelly green heels of some type. My dress will be in in a few weeks and I will need shoes for my fittings. Has anyone used any of the online shoe sites? Anyone used MyGlassSlipper.com? Or better yet, has anyone bought some dyeable shoes in the Raleigh area? Help! Thanks!

DSW has a great selection on their website. Shoebuy.com has a great selection of dyeables & they have free shipping both ways so you can just send them back if they don't work out.

I like Zappos and enless dot com.  You can search both by color.  I've bought from zappos and it's totally painless--free shipping both ways.  There's another site called shopstyle that searches other sites.  You can specify size and color on it.  Also, sometimes you get lucky at bluefly, but I didn't see anything right now--and it tends to be pricey. Some of the conventional online stores like bloomingdales, nordstroms and neiman marcus are having big sales right now, too, so you could get lucky at one of them.  I actually ordered a pair of chartreuse shoes from neimans, but they were a bit too high to spend the day in, unfortunately.

I'd be nervous about the dyeables because they've frequently faded on me--really scary with a wedding dress.

    Good luck and happy hunting!!

Saw these on zappos.  Really high heel, but I think it's the right color.

Are you looking for a sandal type shoe or a pump?

thanks for the post as I need some more online shopping places.  I have to wear flats since the FI is only a couple inches taller than me. (BUT I love heels!!)

Why do flats have to be so ugly?!  Business idea of the day...make cute flat/low heel shoes!

Check out the JCrew sale, that's where I got my shoes and they have some really cute flats. Not sure about dye-ables, but Piperlime has a "Style Me Pretty picks" section that was very helpful. And Zappos and Bluefly.com are also great places. :)

Good luck! Shoes were the toughest part for me but it worked out in the end!

I dyed my own shoes - it was really easy. I bought some white satin shoes from Steve Madden (online). They weren't very tall because my DH isn't too much taller than me, either. If you want any tips, I'd be happy to help. :)
