Venue Advice- The Elan in Lodi

Hi- has anyone done business or had a wedding at The Elan in Lodi? They have only been open for 5 months but it's gorgeous and the price is unbeatable.
I'm concerned bc they are so new....so any feedback is appreciated.
Also, checking out Crystal Falls at the Crowne Plaza in Fairfield if anyone has an opinion.

Thanks!

One of my friends was actually the first wedding they had at the Elan a few months back. It was good for the price. Food was average banquet food but the decor and service were good.

Im curious how you made out with your tasting.  I am very interested in The Elan as well.  I went for a meeting there and the place was great.  I am in the same situation in regrds that I am concerned that they are new.

I am interested in learning about the tasting as well. I have an appointment to tour the venue in a few weeks. What was the price quote they gave you?
My concern is food quality and the area its located in/curb appeal.

So I went back to The Elan for a food tasting with my fiance and my parents last night and we were all in agreement that food was delicious and we really enjoyed everything  Ari, the owner, told us to pace ourselves becuase we would be trying a lot of different items from the menu and we surely did.    I think we had 5 courses, I honestly lost track.  Out of everything we tasted my favorite was the braised short ribs.   The Chef came out and explained all the food to us and even took the time to sit with us to answer our questions.  My finace is very particular about food and had a bunch of question so it was nice to see they took to time to listen to us and make us feel more comfortable.

After our tasting, they are first on my list right, we just have to finalize some budget items to be sure that we can make it work.

To answer your question, they have a wedding package which we are looking @ for $122 per person which includes tax, service, and a DJ/ighting package.  We are leaning towards having a band and they told us that could take some money off the package to credit us for the DJ/Lighting.
  • I booked my wedding there for 11-10-12!  We had a tasting prior to booking and the food was phenomal...not your standard banquet/catering hall food. It is delicious and creatively presented.
I agree with the curb appeal...it has none but we're getting married in November and it will be dark by 6 pm whent he cocktail hour begins. We are also using their preferred DJ, DJ Express. Great guy, Joe Zisa, and the prices are reasonable.
